About the Role
Attenborough Surgery are seeking a qualified and experienced clinical pharmacist to join our team of pharmacists, pharmacy technician and other health care professionals. This role is offered on a full or part-time basis depending on the successful candidates situation. 
 
The main responsibilities of the role include:
  • Providing primary support to general practice staff with regards to prescription and medication queries.
  • Supporting the repeat prescription system (including EPS).
  • Dealing with acute prescription requests, structured medication reviews and medicines reconciliation on transfer of care.
  • Support systems for safer prescribing and provide expertise in clinical medicines advice needs of patients in our single practice PCN.
About the Candidate
You will be a qualified pharmacist with strong experience within primary care and have the following skills and qualifications:
  • Enrolled in, or have qualified from, an approved 18-month training pathway or equivalent, that equips the clinical pharmacist to be able to, practice and prescribe safely and effectively in a primary care setting (for example, the CPPE Clinical Pharmacist training pathways).
  • Expertise in a chronic disease area eg diabetes or asthma management and could run chronic disease clinics (desirable).

We have a practice list size approximately 30,000 patients and are based over 4 surgery sites within 15 minutes drive of each other, serving the population of Bushey and Watford. We are less than 5 minutes drive from Junction 5 of the M1.
