About the Role
Mount Farm Surgery in Bury St Edmunds is seeking a salaried GP for 4 to 6 sessions per week, this is negotiable, on a 6 month fixed term contract, to provide maternity cover from October/November 2024.
 
You will be joining our friendly, supportive, and well-established practice team.

About the Candidate
All applicants should have the following qualifications:
 
  • Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
  • Be on the NHSE medical performers list
and skills, including:
  • Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, and primary prevention and screening services;
  • Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date;
  • Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.

About Us
Mount Farm Surgery is an innovative and professional teaching practice in Suffolk, located on the outskirts of the cathedral town of Bury St. Edmunds with close links to the A14.Our practice team consists of 10 GPs plus a dedicated clinical team including GP trainees, 2 ECPs, 6 nurses, and 2 HCAs. We have a dedicated management team, plus a large team of other administrative staff.
 
Our membership of Bury St Edmunds PCN ensures we have an extended team which includes a paramedic home visiting service, on site clinical pharmacists, a practice based social prescriber and 2 care co-ordinators.
