About the Role

Ambrose Avenue Group Practice is looking for a friendly, organised, and professional care navigator/receptionist to join our busy GP practice team, on a part-time basis. We can be flexible with the number of hours to be worked, but they will be within our surgery hours, 07:45 - 18:30.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a kind and caring service to our patients and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the practice.

Key Responsibilities
• Welcoming patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries
• Booking, amending, and cancelling appointments
• Managing patient records and updating information accurately
• Handling confidential information sensitively
• Using the new online Anima booking system
• Liaising with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Carrying out general administrative and reception duties

About the Candidate

General practice is a challenging environment that requires a calm and caring approach with the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience and excellent communication skills.

• Ability to work in a polite, confidential and discreet manner
• Experience of working with the general public
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Strong IT and administration skills
• Previous medical or healthcare receptionist experience is desirable
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work calmly in a busy environment
• Previous reception or customer service experience preferred
